The socialist God & capitalist men

Long back I had a heated debate with my uncle about, "why is "protecting Hindu" always vis-à-vis other communities & never vis-à-vis poverty,hunger, malnutrition, malaria..etc."
To which he replied, "Look beta(child), when God creates a bird, he creates enough food for her. But he never keeps it in her nest. For that she has to work. This is how life is."
I didn't had a come back to this. But I lived with this analogy for quite some time & realized that it's true. In God's creation (Nature) every creature, be it plant or animal gets what it needs.

The socialist God:
A bird has to fly to find her food. So nature gave her wings & pneumatic bones(light weight). So that she could fly. Lion got the grey color, so it can camouflage in the grassland. Cheetah got the speed. Deers, cow & other herbivores got eyes on two sides of their head so that their vision is expanded. They can sense danger from a wider horizon. Fishes got gills to get dissolved oxygen from water. The list goes on. Every creation of God( read mother nature) is spot on, perfect.
What we can infer from here is,
"God/Mother nature is supremely SOCIALIST. " She takes care of every child of her. Taking everyone along is a very socialist idea.

Competition & mother nature:
In ecology we study various relation between organisms living in one environment. They are mutualism, parasitism, amensalism, commensalism, competition...etc. out of all these "competition" is the worst because in this both species lose & no one is benefited. So nature avoids competition to the extent it is possible. Some may counter this argument by saying, "Survival of the fittest" is a reality of nature. One or two puppies survive out of 5-6. 10 million sperms for one ovum, is a case of competition. But that's just one way of seeing things. The other side is that the nature is creating enough options so that the survival rate is higher. The intent of nature is to enhance the chances of fertilisation of ovum or survival of at least one puppies so that the species remains.
On the contrary man is capitalist by nature. It has accumulated all it needs to the point of depriving others. The capitalist instincts got a boost after industrialization.

Industrialist:
Nature created air, water & land. So that every child of her can get what they need. Air-water-land is not monopoly of man alone. Animals & plants also have their rightful share of it,which we never acknowledge. Let's keep others out of the scope for a while. Even humans are deprived of what they are gifted by nature.
E.g : Mines (minerals/oil...etc) are for entire mankind. These belong not just to us but also to our future generations. But when a capitalist enters into the scene, he pays some price; some crores to govt, some to politician & powerful person and gets the rights to extract natural resources (gift of mother nature to entire mankind) worth billions. A bare minimum portion goes in tax & there are several loopholes to avoid paying that sum also. Who gave him the right to take away all that belongs to the children of nature just for few pennies.
They pollute the river & air by dumping industrial waste. The water & air belong to whole of life on Earth, not just humans. Who gave them the right to pollute it? If today we are spending thousands of rupees to purchase water purifier & air purifier; it's the capitalist class who is to be blamed.

Loyalty (Namak-halali):
After damaging all of nature's gifts to life on Earth, they justify it by saying, " We give employment". Giving employment is not an act of charity but a compulsion because they need workers to carry forward their job. Here they have introduced a new concept of 'Loyalty'(Namak-halali). One must preach faithfulness to someone who gives you bread & butter. When a person works, he gets salary. Again salary is not philanthropy. It's a transaction. Worker offers service, industrialist gives money in return. And in all circumstances the money they provide is always less than the labor offered. This is a sad reality of mankind. So why should loyalty be one-directional. The industrialist must also exercise faithfulness towards his/her employees.

LPG reforms:
In 1990's India begun her LPG reforms. Liberalisation, Privatization &  Globalisation were cherished as achievements. Much of the problem of India is Globalisation. Unemployment, one of the biggest evil of our times is a byproduct of Globalisation.
Suppose place A has a small population of 10k people. The needs of people are many. There are people working to provide service to those 10k poeple. But instead few global services providers entered place A, occupied the market by their superior man-power /technology /money. Now a self-reliant man is jobless. He has to find job to sustain himself & his family. Until capitalism was able to provide job people were not questioning its exploitations. Now that machines are replacing man, the question grows imminent.

Capitalist machines:
Just like man, inventions of mankind are also capitalist (self-centered & don't bother about others). Machines, factories, Mills, automobiles consume resource(oil, raw material) provide product/service to it's master & leave the pollution, effluent to air/water. The rest of the civilisation bears the cost of the greed of few.
Air-conditioner cools the house & releases the heat to outside which is already hot. The poeple who couldn't afford AC get more of heat because the rich decided to cool their houses.

Corruption & capitalism:
Corruption is a capitalist idea. If a tea-seller doesn't sell average tea, how ll he be able to sell special tea at a higher price. What should be the norm, has become an exception.
And we are ready to pay the price(bribe). Greed is what makes a man capitalist.

War & capitalism:
War is also a capitalist idea.  If we take the history of mankind, the ruler at the top decides to go on a war for his personal ambition or rivalry. The soldiers fight wars, sacrifice their life thinking they are fighting for their nation. (e.g : Troy movie). At the beginning of the movie "Bajirao Mastani", a Muslim ruler is awaiting outside the fort of Bundelkhand king, asking him to surrender. He throws a message tied on a javelin. It hits a soldier guarding the palace.  He falls & dies. The king and others go there, read the message. They are totally indifferent to the soldier who just died. This is a perfect testimony to ruler's attitude towards soldiers fighting for him. The situation remains the same even in 21st century. The irony is, history remembers only the leader & forgets the soldiers. And they are reduced to numbers. e.g : 1.5 lakh soldiers died in Kalinga war, 76 soldiers died in Dantewada, 40 soldiers died in pulwama. The war memorials, newspaper columns & TV debates glorifying the martyrs are simply a lip service.

Capitalist God:
Remember the monologue of Aamir Khan from PK? The Gods that we created are capitalist. They help who bribes them. There is performance rating for Gods as well. The one who has better success rate is worshipped more & offered more gifts.

Freebies
You need something to get something for free. Even freebies like Jio sim card didn't benefit the poor because they don't have smart phone. In grocery or other stuff they purchase in small quantities, so they end up paying more than what other people pay. They also pay more indirect tax than us. It won't be wrong if we say, market is anti-poor.

Division of labor:
Division of labor is capitalist. Earlier, a farmer used to cultivate what all he needs, sell the extra to someone else & get what he needs. Now there's division of labor. He is confined to farming. Marketing, preserving & selling is done by someone else (the middle man). Between the farmer & the consumer there are n number of middle man who eat up the profit the farmer deserve & the discount the consumer deserve. When tomato price crash, they make news headlines. Farmers sell at 1Rupee/ kilo. But even then the consumer get it at a price not less than 10Rs. The 9Rs goes to capitalism. When tamato price skyrockets to 80Rs/kilo, even then the farmer get a meagre 15-20 Rs. Again the 60-70% of the final price goes to capitalism. The final result is that, Farmers are committing suicide like never before. "Struggle for existence" is a situation created by capitalism.

Climate change "hoax" :
Temperature of earth has risen by 2 degree since industrialisation. Costal areas are drowning. Glaciers are melting. Severe cyclones & extreme climate are witnessed very frequently. Who faces the heat? The rich have the luxury of money. They live in their air-conditioned villas. It's the poor who drown in flood & cyclone, die in sunstroke/thunderstorm. This situation was perfectly shown in the hollywood movie 2012. The rich & powerful boarded the ship. The poor were left to die.

Apolcalyptic experience
Last year (October 2018) cyclone titli hit my town paralakhemundi very badly. The town was devastated & there was no electricity supply for a week. I got a demo of how civilizations comes to an end. I could guess what might have happened in Mohenjodaro.
Let me give you a short account of my experience. The day before cyclone titli hit our town, the poor people who lived in thatched houses were moved to safe places. Their houses broke down. They lost the little they had accumulated. The lower middle class were second most effected. They lived without electricity for a week. Then the slightly better off middle class who had power back up(inverter) enjoyed electricity for next 1-2 days. The rich people could afford to recharge their inverters at 1000Rs/hr. They were the last to hit by the inconveniences. This sequence repeats everywhere on earth. There is no exception.

The world that was given to us was a socialist one. We moved it into capitalist direction. And now we are facing the wrath of mother nature's agony.
Here i rest my pen. I leave my article & idea open for your judgement. Thank you for reading me. Have a great day.
